Anti-Hazing Policy

The University of Miami has an absolute prohibition on hazing. Hazing is defined as an action or situation created on or off campus which recklessly or intentionally harms, damages, or endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student for the purposes of, including, but not limited to, initiation or admission into or affiliation with any organization operating within the University of Miami.

Bias-Related Incident Reporting

To foster a Culture of Belonging, the University of Miami encourages everyone to report bias incidents that occur in our community so that inappropriate and unwelcome behavior may be properly addressed and the community at large can be educated. A bias incident - defined as an action, behavior, or expression against an individual’s or group’s actual or perceived identity - can be reported to the Dean of Students Office via this form.
