International Students

The International Student Liaison (ISL) offers planning, assessment and evaluation of services, and advising to new, transfer, and continuing international students and international student organizations. In addition, ISL advocates on behalf of international students by communicating with offices and individuals both on and off campus, and by acting as a liaison to various University departments, including the Counseling Center, Student Health Center, Office of the Ombudsperson, Multicultural Student Affairs, and International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). Within DOSO, ISL assists the Deans in resolving international student queries and concerns regarding their physical, mental, social, familial, academic, disciplinary, economic, and other adjustment issues affecting their matriculation to and movement through the University. ISL is also accustomed to interacting with parents, governmental agencies, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, and other members of the larger university community.
