I completed AlcoholEdu and/or Sexual Assault Prevention last year as a first year student, why do I have to do this again?

The AlcoholEdu on-going education & Sexual Assault Prevention on-going courses are designed specifically to compliment the courses you took in your first year at the U. All returning second year students are required to complete these on-going courses. This is a commitment that you make, as a Miami Hurricane, to support a healthier and safer campus environment.

I completed AlcoholEdu and/or Sexual Assault Prevention for another institution or organization. Do I need to complete it again?

Yes. The modules may vary by institution and it is important that you learn the expectations and standards that are specific to our University of Miami community.

I completed part 1 of AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention. How do I access Part 2?

Part 2 does not become available until 45 days after you complete part 1. If you have completed part 1, you are in compliance with the mandatory modules requirement, and you will receive more information about accessing part 2 following the 45-day intercession.

I am having technical issues and need help!

Should you experience problems, technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the “Help” link within the course or by visiting support.everfi.com

I am currently living outside of the United States of America and cannot access the modules.

Please send an email to campusclarity@miami.edu stating your current location, which modules you are unable to access, and when you will arrive in the U.S. An extension may be granted; however, you will continue to receive the reminder emails until you complete the modules.

I am having problems logging in with my CaneID and/or Password

First, verify that you are typing in your CaneID and password correctly. Remember that CaneLink is case-sensitive, and all characters must be keyed in correctly. If you are still getting the error message, then click on the "Forgot your CaneID or Password" link at https://caneid.miami.edu. For more information, go to the CaneID Help page.

What should I do if I received an email stating that I have not completed a module that I believe I already completed?

For Sexual Assault Prevention make sure you have completed the “Post Quiz” section and for AlcoholEdu make sure you have completed the “AlcoholEdu for College–Exam” section. Both of these sections must be done in order to successfully complete the module.

If you have checked those elements and are still receiving a notification, send an email to campusclarity@miami.edu and include a screenshot of the completion screen and your C#.

For Sexual Assault Prevention or AlcoholEdu, log into Everfi with your CaneID. Screenshot your home screen that shows you completed the module in question.

I am in a one year program and already have a bachelors degree.

As a Miami Hurricane, you are still required to go through this training. Depending on your school or college there may be some alternatives to the traditional first or second year course. Please email campusclarity@miami.edu for information.
